String Quartet recital, including our own John Lawton.

The “Leabrook String Quartet” recently provided us with a lovely afternoon of music.

John Lawton has been a member of the Quartet since 2005 when it was initially formed.

Named after their location for rehearsals (Leabrook – the suburb), the present combination has been playing together for approximately 18 months.

John has played the violin since he was 8 years of age. While attending University, he was part professional and played in amateur orchestras and chamber groups. Now, principally playing for their own enjoyment, the quartet presents two public recitals each year along with occasional lunchtime concerts and weddings.

Their recital at The Glenbrook provided for a delightful afternoon and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
